For time and space are one illusion, which takes different forms.
Quote from A Course in Miracles, T-26.VIII.1:3
Once again, the above statement is from Michael of Nebadon, the Sovereign of our universe; as always, what he says is absolute and final. What more would we expect from perfection? Michael is no slouch; to acknowledge he is a powerful personality belabors the obvious. But he is possessed of such supernal humility, we can almost overlook his every statement is a decree from Heaven, which actually it is—a decree from Heaven. Michael is not speaking for effect, or trying to be clever, or poetic. Rather than employ sweeping generalities to titillate the intellect, he is plain-spoken and earnest. His supreme desire is to communicate.
On this same subject of time and space, consider another statement from Michael: “Ultimately, space is as meaningless as time. Both are merely beliefs” (T-1.VI.3:5-6). At which, we have to beg for mercy. For us mortal ascenders, time and space certainly are intensely occupying, and to contend they are “merely” anything is truly a breathtaking dismissal. This so transcends the truths of our most recent revelation, The URANTIA Book, that we need to examine this phenomenon with care.
On September 6, 1976, while visiting Huntsville, Alabama, for the sum of $20.00 Lois and I purchased our first copy of The URANTIA Book. I wrote our names and date on the inside cover page, where the sticker is still affixed with the price; not an insubstantial sum at that time, considering the precarious state of our finances. We bought the book in faith, not knowing but curious to know.
Since then both Lois and I have had careers, as well as our family of son and daughter, so our time for study has been in competition with other cares. Except for an occasional brief experience with study groups, we have studied individually or with one another. We are currently reading the book out loud to one another, an activity we have undertaken more than once.
The revelation is an experience that induces awe. “Awe should be reserved for revelation, to which it is perfectly and correctly applicable” (T-1.II.3:1). We are continually astounded. Lois and I have read The URANTIA Book in its entirety many times, and will not cease as long as we are here on this earth. The book is of epochal importance. We are enjoined by our Thought Adjuster, which is the Voice for the Universal Father residing in our minds, not to make a fetish of the book, but the fruits of study continually engage our minds. “Revelation is literally unspeakable because it is an experience of unspeakable love” (T-1.II.2:7). We will not cease studying the revelation because it brings us joy to be so comforted and loved by the personalities authoring The URANTIA Book.
We know who Michael of Nebadon is. He is our Creator Son, the Son of our Universal Father and the Eternal Son. He and his consort, our Creative Spirit, the Creative Daughter of the Infinite Spirit, are the Creators of this universe. But we have not yet considered the personalities who author The URANTIA Book, who, while not so invested with power as our Creator Son and Creative Spirit, are no slouches in their own right.
Chief among these are the Divine Counselors. On page 17, in brackets following a challenging Foreword, we find: “Indited by an Orvonton Divine Counselor, Chief of the Corps of Superuniverse Personalities assigned to portray on Urantia the truth concerning the Paradise Deities and the universe of universes” (0017:03). Then, the first 9 papers are by various Divine Counselors (presumably not the same as the author of the Foreword), paper 10 is by a Universal Censor, the next 4 papers are by Perfectors of Wisdom, then back and forth through paper 21; with more papers by them, farther along. Who are these superuniverse personalities?
